Greetings Port Jervis School District Faculty and Staff!
The Outdoor Club of Port Jervis cordially invites all PJ faculty and staff to join us on a series of hikes in the beautiful and expansive Watershed Park.
The Park is a 2000-acre forested gem right in our own backyard, and it’s free and open to all who love the great outdoors. The Outdoor Club, as stewards of the Park, has been busy building, marking, and mapping 34 miles of trails—with even more under construction.
And we’re eager to show you around the Park and discuss with you the tremendous educational potential for students in all grade levels and subject areas. There are lovely settings for painting, sketching, photography, and descriptive writing. Abundant flora and fauna, geological formations, and lakes and streams provide a variety of opportunities for scientific studies. There are even sites of local historic interest in the Park.
We’ve planned the following events:
Hope to see you in the Park!
